"Success is not final; failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts." —W. Churchill

We are an independent entity founded by Latin-Veteran-LGBTQ+ individuals, with a strong focus on supporting the Gulf Coast creator community. I began my journey as an event and travel photographer, concentrating on domestic and international photography contests. In August 2023, we started participating in local Gulf Coast art markets, where my business partner, Daniel Owens, joined me. As a mixed-media visual artist and photographer, I draw inspiration from my travels and the people I meet. My art and photography celebrate my love for color, medium, and perspective, while striving for balance.

In December 2023, we were inspired to launch our art markets to better serve the art community, non-profits, and small businesses. Our events included the Arts & Crafts Bazaar, Oddities Night Market, and Emporium of Art & Marketplace, which we later consolidated into The Frenchmen Market.

We developed The Frenchmen in August 2024 and launched it in October 2025 when our business partner, Stephanie Reeves, joined us. Inspired by the French Quarter's Frenchmen Street in New Orleans, we aimed to create a brick-and-mortar art collective and storefront that would support all artists, regardless of age, gender, background, or experience in the art or business world. We set out to create a safe space where anyone can feel inspired. To further this mission, we began offering classes to encourage creativity within our gallery.

In addition to supporting creatives, we have become a resource for small businesses and non-profits, helping them navigate the complexities of the city. With The Frenchmen's new location opening in July 2025, we are excited to welcome our newest business partner, Amy Delcambre. Together, as the Frenchmen Four, we are dedicated to revitalizing Mobile's city center through the arts!
